Scope and Content
The booklet gives an overview of guerilla fighting in Greece. The leaders, their organization and the support of the Greek Clergy is described. The results of the atrocities committed by the Axis’s powers were the increased resistance activities by the guerillas, and passive resistance of the majority of the population. Separate chapters deal with press, underground press and the different parties involved in the struggle as well as the makeup of political parties, their leadership and the overall spirit of resistance in the country. The puppet government in Athens is denounced and compared to M. Tsouderos’s government in exile. The hope that Greece will rise again is expressed in strong terms.
