Scope and Content
In 1934, Karl Witte published his work "Myth and Revelation", a "pamphlet against the German Faith Movement". The Deutsche Glaubensbewegung (Working Group of the German Faith Movement) was led by Prof. Jakob Wilhelm Hauer and aimed at the unification of all faiths, with the belief in a single Creator. Instead of the religions that had been common up to this point, the movement claimed that there should be only one "Germanic religion". Witte takes a critical stance on the faith movement, and places it in relation to politics.
