Scope and Content
In his book "Kampf um das Kreuz", Dr. Stephan Schreder divides the National Socialist activities against the church into different parts. He explains the reasons for the condescending attitude towards the church, which originate in Christian symbols such as the cross and the figure of Christ himself. Furthermore, the system of exclusion is described through examples. The prevention of church visits, the disruption of processions, threats against bishops and the storming of churches are mentioned. In the struggle for the heart and minds of youth, bishops are kept away from schools and kindergartens in order to exclude any ecclesiastical influence. In addition to these measures, the incitement of the people against the church through propaganda is also described.
