Svejk in the Protectorate
Extent and Medium
1 electronic resource (36 pages)
Scope and Content
The publication which is based on the novel “The good soldier Svejk” by Jaroslav Hasek ironically criticizes the German occupation of the protectorate Bohemia and Moravia. Svejk is arrested in a pub while discussing the botched attempt on Hitler’s life in Munich with the innkeeper. He is transferred to Petschek castle and interrogated by the Gestapo. He behaves in typical "Svejk" manner to expose the lunacy of his surroundings.
