The pamphlet is propagating the release of Ernst Thälmann, a prominent communist, who at the time of publication had already spent three years in jail. The pamphlet proclaims that the cry of “Free Thälmann” should be heard all over the world. Like mosaic stones, small events from all over the world illustrate the combined effort of anti-fascists working together to achieve his release. The fight for his release has become a united, international effort.
