The pamphlet is dedicated to Europe’s underground press, giving a thorough account of the risks involved, the acquisition of news, the printing process, the newspapers available, sabotages, and the rising unease and fear of the Nazis. It gives anecdotal evidence of the dangers involved, success stories and failures. One chapter lists various clandestine papers published in occupied Europe.
