Scope and Content
The publication gives an overview of the political situation and resistance in France during the German occupation. It emphasizes the need for a fight both within and outside of France that must be fought morally, through arms and politics. Charles de Gaulle is quoted extensively, underscoring his influential role. Various chapters and contributors describe how the liberation should be achieved. A declaration of rights and duties is enclosed. The Fourth French Republic is declared and its principles asserted. The separation of powers and the powers of the president and his ministers are reported, as well as foreign relations and social and economic affairs.
