Scope and Content
The booklet is a collection of poems with a communist perspective addressed to “Gegen den wahren Feind” (Against the true enemy). They are meant to instill doubt, and provoke a sense of revulsion towards the Nazi ideology and the deeds committed on its behalf. The content was used for propaganda purposes during the Second World War on the Eastern front. The second part is called “In der Heimat, In der Heimat …”, (In the homeland, in the homeland).
