The Church struggle in Germany
Extent and Medium
1 electronic resource (40 pages)
Scope and Content
The pamphlet from October 1937 describes the dire conditions and recent events concerning the situation of churches in Germany which are subject to vile propaganda, intimidation, and imprisonment of their members. Excerpts of “Mein Kampf” and Rosenberg’s “Mythos des 20. Jahrhunderts” are included to emphasize the Nazi position on Christianity. The “German Christian” faith is explained. The pamphlet argues that the events between 1933 and 1937 concerning church affairs and the suppression by the state raise serious concerns about the future of Christianity in Germany.
