Scope and Content
The Pamphlet issued by the central committee of the Communist party of Germany is targeted towards a Catholic audience. It deals with the trial against Catholics in Berlin from April 7th to April 29th, 1937. The Seven defendants (among them Joseph Rossaint) and their stance for peace and freedom are praised. They were sentenced to eleven years in prison. The crimes of Guernica are given as a reason for Catholics to reject Nazi ideology, and join ranks with the communists to fight the Nazis together.
