The collection was deposited by their daughter, Hanna Kobylinski Rozental in 1990, having been discovered amongst the possessions of her late sister, Eva Samson, in London.

Scope and Content
This collection consists of correspondence between Else and Sigismund Kobylinski, German Jewish refugees, during their internment on the Isle of Man in Summer and Autumn 1940. The correspondents came to Great Britain in 1939, their children having emigrated some years earlier.
System of Arrangement
The order in which they arrived has been retained and a sequential reference numbering system has been introduced.
