Biographical History
As stories from the Kindertransport became more widely known, public interest in the event flourished in the1990s, resulting in a number of spin-off projects. These include numerous news articles, documentary films, artistic works, poems, and a play. Notably, Deborah Oppenheimer's documentary film, Into the Arms of Strangers won the U.S. Academy Award for Best Documentary Film in 2000, and Diane Samuelson's play, Kindertransport was performed in London's West End and abroad.
