Biographical History
Prof. Dr. Meir Jacob Kister (1914-2010) was an Israeli arabist of Polish descent who had emigrated to Palestine in 1939. He was later appointed professor at Hebrew University. In 1981 Kister was awarded with the Israel Prize.
Scope and Content
Correspondence regarding the contribution of pieces for the Library’s bulletin, visits of The Wiener Library during a trip to England, and the friendly exchange of personal notes. Beside handwritten and typewritten letters a greeting card for Rosh Hashanah is contained.
