Biographical History
Prof. Dr. Guido Kisch (1889-1985) was a Jewish-German lawyer and scholar of legal history. Being dismissed from university he had emigrated to the US in 1935 and to Switzerland in the early 1960s. Kisch continued publishing, and held high position at the Jewish Claims Conference. See Walk, J., Kurzbiographien zur Geschichte der Juden 1918-1945, Munich et.al., K. G. Saur, 1988, p. 194.
Scope and Content
Beside a visit of the Library the correspondence deals with the purchase of published material. This refers mainly to the Historia Judaica, a learned journal on Jewish History edited by Kisch.
