Biographical History

Prof. Dr. Karl Theodor Jaspers (1883-1969) was an eminent Swiss-German psychiatrist and philosopher. He was academic teacher as well as lifelong friend of Hannah Arendt.

Scope and Content

A letter regarding Jasper’s contribution to a Festschrift for Leo Baeck, and a transcript of a Nazi document from 1942 censoring Jasper’s latest and preventing it from being published.
