Biographical History

The identity of the author of this prayer is unknown. The translator was the donor's mother, who was born in Breslau in 1888 and lived in Berlin. She was a psychologist, the first woman to graduate in Jena in about 1920. She came to Great Britain in 1939 and became a Quaker. Her two children came on a Kindertransport.
