Biographical History
Fritz Weisskopf (1920-1994) was born in Ratibor, Upper Silesia. He attended the Rhediger Gymnasium in Breslau from 1931-1938, where he became friends with Walter Laqueur. He traveled to Palestine and from 1938-1940 attended agricultural college. He spent the war years as a soldier in the British Army, achieving the rank of Captain. From 1947-1949 he was a major in the Israeli army. He became a department head for physical education in the Ministry of Education and after retirement a tour guide.
