Scope and Content
This sub-sub-series consists of a selection of photographs chosen by the official photographers that relate to activities or events attended by Stephen Harper as Prime Minister of Canada for the month of April 2012.
It includes photographs of Stephen Harper's trip to Washington, DC for the North American Leaders' Summit where he met with Mexican President Felipe Calderón and United States President Barack Obama (April 1-2). It also includes photographs of Stephen Harper's trip to Cartagena, Colombia for the Summit of the Americas, where he met with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos Calderón, Peruvian President Ollanta Humala, and Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Kamla Persad-Bissessar (April 13-15). It also shows Stephen Harper's trip to Santiago, Chile, where he met with Chilean President Sebastián Piñera and witnessed the signing of an updated Canada-Chile Free Trade Agreement (April 16-17).
In addition, the sub-sub-series shows Stephen Harper attending the 2012 National Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa (April 21) meeting with Quebec Premier Jean Charest at 24 Sussex Drive in Ottawa (April 21) and meeting with the Dalai Lama on Parliament Hill (April 27).
