Scope and Content
Fonds consists of textual records, n.d., 1926-1985, in the following series: personal correspondence and academic career information, Hebrew language instruction and Jewish education in Canada, Canadian Jewish Congress materials relating to various social issues affecting the Jewish community, Zionist movement in Canada material, Canadian Zionist Federation, World Zionist Congress-World Zionist Organization, World Labour Zionist movement, the Jewish Agency material, World Jewish Congress, publications from various sources.
Fonds also contains photographic positives and transparencies or slides, ca. 1950, 1971-1976, depicting the Hebrew Day School demonstration on behalf of Soviet Jewry, Montreal, Quebec, photograph by Drommond Photos, Montreal; two views of the Canadian Zionist Federation Information Booth at the Hadassah Bazaar, Vancouver, British Columbia; youth doing a hora, an Israeli folk-dance, possibly at Camp Masad in the Laurentians, Quebec; Leon Kronitz at at the 1984 Bernard and Neri Bloomfield Tribute Dinner sponsored by the the Canadian Friends of Bar-Ilan University. There are also two Kronitz family photographs, as well as 21 colour slides of a tour taken by Leon Kronitz of Israel in 1974. Fonds also contains a felt crest, n.d., from a Jewish camp.
