    This collection of personal papers documents, in part, the life of Robert Philip Baker-Byrne, formerly Rudolf Philipp Becker, a German Jewish emigrant to Great Britain who, having served in the Pioneer Corps, ended his war time activities working for the British Secret Service, and after the war as a war crimes investigator.

    This collection consists of case papers relating to the fate of Dutch Jewish foster children whose parents died during the Holocaust. Eleven cases are represented here, out of a total of 1363.

    This collection consists of several copy and translated papers or sets of copy and translated papers which document Nazi war crimes and are apparently unrelated. According to the depositor, the material was donated to him by a former Sergeant of Intelligence (name not supplied). A number of the translated documents bear the name of the translator, a Sergeant in the Field Investigation Section, War Crimes Group, North West Europe. The name of the investigating officer occurs on a number of the witness depositions.

The sources for these notes are newspaper reports; notes taken at press conferences; and extracts from the constitutions of various Länder

  8. Benario family: copy genealogical papers and copy papers re Olga Benario-Prestes

    This collection consists of two distinct though related groups of copy papers. The first documents, in part, the relatively short but eventful life of the German Jewess, Olga Benario, a short biographical sketch of whom follows. Also contained are copy papers which document the Benario family history. The order in which the latter arrived remains unchanged. Also included are some copy papers, which document the fate of Rudolph Benario, a family member, who was imprisoned on account of his activities as a member of the Communist Party.

  9. Interviews with German generals - not dated

    This undated copy typescript account was apparently written by a German female stenographer working in Paris for the US Historical section. Her narrative describes visits to 'Le Petit Chesnay' and later Hennemont Castle where German generals (eg von Lüttwitz, Schramm, Bayerlein) were held captive. She describes the atmosphere and gives an account of Schramm's report.
