  18. Moshe Leshem collection

    Consists of documents forged by Moshe Lesehm [donor] in order to demonstrate a false Aryan identity. Mr. Leshem obtained existing and blank documents and altered them to read the name "Limbersky," a false identity. Collection includes forged report cards, diplomas, an "ancestor's" birth certificate, and his "parents'" wedding certificate. Due to age, the places where the documents have been altered is evident.

    The collection consists of a tefillin bag, 3 tefillin with straps, two leather wallets, an autograph book, a television interview, documents, photographs, and Trauer albums relating to the experiences of Annemarie Alexander Israelski (later Warschauer) and her family before and during the Holocaust in Nazi Germany, in Shanghai, China, where they fled in 1940, and later in the United States.

    Consists of one story, 3 pages, entitled "Our Story," by Ruth and Paul Keller. They tell of their initial meeting as children in Germany in 1934 and their chance encounter in New York in 1942 after their respective emigrations to the United States to escape Nazi persecution. The Kellers presented their story at a 2005 Yom Hashoah commemoration.
