Biographical History

Margot Barnes née Brauer (1924-2019) came from Bytom, Poland (formerly Beuthen), Silesia. She came to England on a Kindertransport and stayed at a hostel in Southport, Lancashire. In 1943 she joined the British army. In 1946 she married Dennis and had two children.


Margot had a brother, Alfred, who was murdered at Auschwitz.
