  1. Mania Lichtenstein collection

    Contains photographs, almost entirely of unknown postwar displaced persons camps. Many photographs are labeled on verso as images of pro-Palestine gatherings, weddings, families, and events. Two photographs included in the collection depict Janina Zawadska in Włodzimierz, Poland, a Roman Catholic woman who hid Mania Lichtenstein and another child in the winter of 1943-44. Janina gave Mania the photographs.

    Selected records of the Pazardzhik District Administration, District Court and District Office of Agronomy, included are correspondence and documentation related to the sale of Jewish property in Pazarzdhik, correspondence with the Ministry of Interior and Commissariat of Jewish Affairs concerning the local Jewish population and confiscation of Jewish property, registration of the Jewish-owned companies etc. The second part of this collection contains surviving parts of the Archives of the Jewish Community of Pazardzhik (1915-1946).

    The collection consists of letters written by Benvenuto Mario Vitta (Mario) in 1944 to his wife Ines and daughter Adriana who were in hiding. The letters were likely written in Milan and the Fossoli di Carpi concentration camp. There is also one letter to Mario from his friend Alessandro Sgatti who was hiding Mario's son Adolfo with his family in Marina di Carrara.
