    Watercolor that forms part of a portfolio depicting the Officer's Quarters in Dachau, Germany. The watercolor is titled, grüße aus bayern, or "greetings from Bavaria" and depicts flowers, interlacing hearts, and a mountainside gravesite. The watercolor is initialed "H" and dated February 1946, Dachau, Germany in the lower right corner. The watercolor has been taped to a white piece of paper.

    The Anne-Gilberte Stemmer Hercberg collection consists of prewar and wartime photographs of Anne-Gilberte Stemmer, a hidden child, and her parents, Charles Salomon Stemmer and Malka Tennebuam. The photographs also include photographs of Jules and Odette Hébrard, who hid Anne-Gilberte during the war by acting as her aunt and uncle on a farm in the village of Lasalle, France.

  13. Tema Posalska Bauer collection

    Photograph of Ella Mislouska, Allen Greener and Tema Posalska Bauer in Łódź, Poland, 1937. Ella and Allen were friends with Tema Bauer (donor's mother). Ella survived in Russia. Tema, also known as “Femcia," was born in Zdunska Wola or in Łódź and lived in Łódź, Poland. She was deported to Skarszysko Kamienna, where she was a slave laborer and then was then sent to Buchenwald in August 1944, where she worked for the Hasag munitions factory. She married Moisze Bauer also a survivor from Łódź. They lived in Pocking displaced persons camp where their first Child, Chil, was born.

    Diplomatic dispatches, cables, and reports sent by the Chilean embassies and consulates in Europe to the Ministry of Foreign Relations and Culture in Santiago, Chile, including records pertaining to Jewish refugees. Consists of 53 original volumes for the period 1933 to 1945 (non-consecutive). Also features 15 digitized passports of individuals immigrating to Chile from Nazi Germany, including Jewish refugees, and one passport of an individual immigrating to Chile after the war.

  19. Kurt Weiser collection

    Collection of documents, photograph albums, and correspondence related to Kurt Weiser's experiences during World War II. Born in 1922 in the Czech Republic, Kurt was raised in Chorzow, Poland and deported or forced to flee to Siberia and further east into the Soviet Union. After the war, Kurt settled and worked in the New Ulm displaced persons camp, and eventually immigrated to Buffalo, NY.
