    This collection of family papers consists primarily of letters from the Jewish parents, Franz and Hertha Kuhn, in Berlin, to their daughter, Hannele or Hannah, who had managed to find refuge in Great Britain, having come out on one of the Kindertransporte in 1939. The letters give a very moving account of the trials and tribulations of a very close-knit, loving family split asunder by the Nazis and ultimately condemned to death. It includes a number of issues of alpinist journals with articles on the involvement of Jews in the sport by Bergmann. Also original correspondence on the subject.

    The collection consists of official and private documents belonging to the members of the Gordon, Auerbach, Heimann and Buchan families, including their correspondence and photographs. The letters between Alfred and Lore Gordon, most of which were written between June 1938 and January 1946, represent about two fifths of the entire collection. In addition there is a large body of correspondence between Lore and her parents in Germany, including some letters and Red Cross telegrams sent during the war.

    This collection comprises the personal papers and correspondence of Ruth Ucko, a German Jewish immigrant to Great Britain. The bulk of Ruth's correspondence comes from her birth mother, Frieda Wolzendorff née Krzesny, mostly after she settled in Sao Paolo, Brazil. In addition there are other letters from the Krzesny family who had also escaped to either South or North America.

    This collection consists of the biographical accounts of three German Jewish families, compiled by Richard Lesser as part of a German initiative to record the fate of Jewish families who perished during the Holocaust.The papers concern the Kuttner family, Siegfried and Fanny Speyer, and Arthur and Elsa Godlewsky.Also contains the personal papers of Dr Ludwig Marx (the donor's father) including his passport (1704/3), a postcard from Dachau concentration camp sent to his wife Regina Marx ((1704/1) and his admission pass to Dachau (1704/2).
