  1. Reunion of the Kindertransporte: Main archive

    Papers of the Reunion of the Kindertransport (ROK) organisation, 1987-2002. The collection comprises papers relating to Bertha Leverton's (founder and primary administrator of ROK) work planning reunions; writing and editing monthly newsletters; acting as a liaison to 'Kinder' and those interested in the Kindertransport; conducting educational lectures on the history of the Kindertransport; and generally promoting its story. Chiefly comprising letters, unpublished memoirs, and newspaper articles. The collection also includes a number of audio tapes, video tapes and photographs.

  2. Red Book: Membership list of Captain Ramsay's Right Club

    Volume unofficially entitled The Red Book comprising the membership list of Captain Ramsay's 'Right Club', 1939, enclosures including letter from William Joyce enclosing his subscription to the Right Club; manuscript of Ramsay's rhyme Land of Dope and Jewry , written in his writing on House of Commons writing paper the day after war was declared on Germany and manuscript list of names of Right Club members.

  3. Teich-Birken family: Memorial book

    Copy and transcript correspondence of a German Jewish family, 1941, chiefly comprising letters from Messrs Isaak David and Martha Teich-Birken, resident in Berlin prior to their deportation to the East, to their children, most of whom had managed to emigrate to the United States except for Martin, the depositor, who came to Great Britain. The correspondence affords an insight into the frustrating and increasingly desperate plight of a Jewish family unable to flee Nazi Germany.

    Press cuttings of British and European press in the immediate aftermath of the November Pogrom, or Night of Broken Glass in Germany, 1938, reporting on the events that occurred and reactions to them.

  5. Dunston, Fred: Papers regarding Youth Aliyah

    Papers of Fred Dunston, 1939-2002, relate to Youth Aliyah and comprise correspondence and papers between the those responsible for the management of the refugee centres at Great Engeham Farm, Kent and Bydown and Braunton, Devon, relating to the management of the institutions; also some letters from the child refugees.

  6. Kristallnacht Reports

    A Collection of circa 350 reports on Kristallnacht, and the aftermath, 1938-1939, anonymised to protect the identity of the authors. Collected by the Jewish Central Information Office in the immediate aftermath of the events themselves.

  7. Reichenbach, Bernhard (1888-1975)

    Papers of Bernhard Reichenbach, 1953-1974, document the post-war journalistic and broadcasting activities of Reichenbach, former actor, political party official, journalist and refugee from Nazi Germany. The papers consist largely of annotated drafts of broadcast transcripts, produced for the German radio station, S?ddeutscher Rundfunk . They cover a wide range of subjects providing, for the German audience, an insight into the economic, social and political life of Britain, 1963-1974. Also included are book reviews and correspondence.

    Papers of Political Warfare Executive, 1941, comprise five copies of Dutch Allied (RAF) dropped airborne leaflets 'De Luchtpost' No. 8/1941, dropped in the night between 17th and 18th November and 18th and 19th November 1941.

    Antisemitic notices comprise two small paper notices stamped with the Anti-semitic slogan Kauft nicht bei Juden (Don't buy from Jews), [1933-1939].

  11. Stern, Alice (1902-1992): Jewish identity card

    Papers of Alice Stern, 1940, comprise a Jewish Identification Card of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia 'Allgemeine B?rgerliche Legitimation', issued 4 Nov 1940, it has a red 'J' stamp in it, the date of the evacuation 31 October 1941 and the marriage notice with Mr Eckstein, dated 5 May 1942.

Consists of approximately 65 sheets with printed press reports bound in a folder, which is stamped on the back: Friedrich Blos Gr. Hoflieferant Karlsruhe.     The German election material collection consists of election propaganda covering the era of the Weimar Republic, especially the final years. There are many flyers from the NSDAP, but also other parties, like the Zentrum, the SPD and the KPD.
