    The papers in this collection consist chiefly of photographs of the work of the sculptor and medallion maker, Fred Kormis, 1913-1987. Erich Kupfer was the grandson of the owner of the first shoe manufacturing company in Burgkunstadt and followed in his footsteps. Shortly after the occupation of Czechoslovakia Julius Strauss obtained travel permits for his two younger children to emigrate to England.
