  2. Drawings from the Yad Vashem Art Museum. Collection

    This collection contains work copies of 32 drawings, mostly created in French internment camps, by Jewish artists Osias Hofstatter and Josef Nassy. The originals are part of the Yad Vashem Art Museum collection. Kazerne Dossin has not obtained permission to use the images in this collection.

  3. Dreyfuss-Isenberg family. Collection

    The collection contains six letters. Four were sent by the Dreyfuss family, after they had moved to Leuven, to their former next-door neighbours, the Perck family. Two others were sent by the Dreyfuss family, while detained at the Dossin barracks, to their friends the Perck family and the Samuel family.

  4. Dublon-Beerman family. Collection

    This collection contains five pictures of the Dublon-Beerman family : two photos of the sisters Lore and Eva Dublon, two group photos of the extended Dublon-Beerman family, and one photo of the Dublon-Beerman family with friends on deck of the MS St. Louis on its way to Cuba.

  5. Miscellaneous documents collected to create the Jewish Museum of Deportation and Resistance. Collection

    This collection consists of work copies of miscellaneous documents on the Holocaust in general and the Belgian case in particular, stored in dozens of institutes worldwide. The copies were entrusted to the Jewish Museum of Deportation and Resistance in 1994-1996, in order to create its permanent exhibition.

  8. Elisabeth Kanis. Collection

    This collection contains the false ID of Elisabeth Kanis, her post-war civil resistance ID and six documents regarding medals and titles awarded to Elisabeth Kanis post-war.

  9. Elisabeth Thalheim. Collection

    This collection contains digitised copies of 7 postcards and a letter sent by Elisabeth Thalheim to her mother Karola Kohn and her daughter Nelly Klein via Elisabeth’s Belgian, non-Jewish friend Lina Govaerts, while interned at the Dossin barracks from February until April 1943 ; a digital copy of an essay in English, written by Elisabeth Thalheim while taking an English course in preparation of her migration to China.

  10. Else Raesener. Letter

    This item is a short letter sent by Else Raesener, living in Brussels, to her daughter Lea Raesener, living in Palestine, via the Red Cross only a few weeks before Else's arrest and deportation. It would be her last sign of life.

  17. Files of the Comité Juif d'Epuration. Collection

    Series of files compiled by the Comité Juif d'Epuration (Jewish Purification Committee) in Brussels, while investigating accusations against Jews in Belgium regarding (presumed) collaboration with the Nazis. This collection is only accessible at the Kazerne Dossin documentation centre, upon approval by the head of the research department of a motived request submitted by the researcher.

  18. Files of the municipality of Sint-Jans-Molenbeek on the anti-Jewish measures. Collection

    This collection consists of six files regarding the implementation of anti-Jewish measures in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek: KD_00015_0001: Circulars addressed to the municipality of Sint-Jans-Molenbeek regarding the creation of a Jewish Register, the addition of a stamp ‘Jood-Juif’ on the ID cards of Jewish inhabitants, the elimination of the German nationality for Jews, the wearing of the yellow badge and the Arbeitseinsatz (convocations for forced labour) in August 1942 KD_00015_0002: The Jewish Register of Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, which consists of 553 forms.
