    The documentation includes documents from German government offices, Nazi organizations (including the Nazi party), SS Headquarters and the German Police, as well as German Army units on various levels, from Army Groups to Divisions.

    The Mordechai Friedman Collection is comprised mainly of copies of documents Friedman gathered from American archives (Jewish and public) that served him in the course of the preparation of his doctoral thesis and his various studies in the context of the reaction of American Jewry to the Holocaust of the European Jews.

    ארכיון משה קלר - פרשת ילדי פינאלי הפרשה הידועה בשם "ילדי פינאלי" התרחשה בראשית שנות החמישים בצרפת. קרוביהם היהודים של שני אחים יהודים יתומים, שהוטבלו לנצרות בתקופת השואה ושהו במנזר בספרד, דרשו להעביר את הילדים לחזקתם. הכנסייה השתמשה בטבילה כטיעון שלפיו יש להשאיר את הילדים בדתם הנוצרית. לאחר מאבק שניהלו הקרובים נגד השלטונות הצרפתיים, ויתרה הכנסייה בסופו של דבר על דרישתה, והילדים עברו לחזקת קרוביהם היהודים. בחטיבה: התכתבויות, דוחות, פרוטוקלים, עלונים, ספרים, מחקרים, קטעי עיתונים ועוד שנאספו בידי משה קלר (Moise Keller), שייצג את עניינם של האחים וקרוביהם נגד השלטונות הצרפתים.

  4. Memoirs and diaries from the Holocaust period collected by the Central Jewish Committee in Poland

    Memoirs and diaries submitted to the Jewish Historical Insitute in Warsaw and catalogued in Records Group 302. In the collection there is a great variety of diaries and memoirs regarding the Holocaust in Poland, Nazi Germany and other countries. Most of the documentation is in Polish; some of the material is in Yiddish and other languages.

  5. Nazi Documentation Collection, 1933-1944

    Nazi documentation of different kinds and from different sources which arrived at Yad Vashem as individual documents and not as part of concentrated collections.   6. Testimonies, diaries and memoirs from the Holocaust period and regarding the Holocaust

    In the collection there are diaries, testimonies and memoirs written mostly by survivors with some material written by Jews who perished in the Holocaust. The content of the documentation is varied and multi-lingual. Most of the documentation was written and documented after the war, and the rest, mainly diaries, during the Holocaust. Those who were persecuted have documented their personal experiences, and through this documentation it is possible to closely follow the personal stories of the writers before the war, during the war and afterwards.

  7. Documentation of the UN Committee about War Crimes

    This Record Group contains documentation created by the UN Committee about War Crimes, 1944-1949. The job of the Committee was to assist the various governments in bringing World War II war criminals to trial by collecting documentation, conducting investigations and giving legal counsel. The Record Group reflects the work of the Committee and its sub-committees and includes protocols and reports of the committees'meetings, documentation collected by the Committee and reports regarding the trials of war criminals held in the various countries.     אוסף תיקים אישיים של לוחמי מחתרת יהודים בצרפת תיעוד על אודות גיבורי המחתרת היהודית שנפלו בצרפת, או שגורשו מצרפת למחנות השמדה; התיעוד נאסף בידי ה-ARJF (אגודת וותיקי המחתרת היהודית בצרפת); עותקים של החומר המקורי הועברו למוזיאון. התיעוד המקורי נמצא בארכיון והתצלומים הועברו למדור התצלומים. מספור התיקים המקורי נשמר למרות היעדר חומר בתיקים רבים.

  9. Jan Karski Collection

    The documentation in the Collection: Correspondence, memos, government documentation, bulletins, reports, research, texts of speeches, printed matter, photographs, newspapers and newspaper clippings, journals and microfilm regarding the events and the living conditions in occupied Poland during World War II, the German occupation and the Soviet occupation, the attitude towards the Jews and activities of the Polish underground.

  10. Documentation of the office of the Central Historical Commission of the Central Committee of Liberated Jews in the U.S. Zone , 1945-1948

    This Collection contains the correspondence of the Central Historical Commission of the Central Committee of Liberated Jews (CHC) with its various branches in the DP camps, Jewish leaders and institutions in different countries, and the German municipal authorities. The correspondence deals mainly with gathering documentation regarding the Holocaust, cultural activity in the DP camps and the editorial work of the CHC.

  12. Rabbi Eli Munk Archives: Correspondence regarding the situation of the Jewish refugees in Germany during the early post-Holocaust years

    The Record Group includes correspondence with relief and welfare organizations in Britain and Germany during the Nazi period and after the war, reports regarding the activities of these organizations and reports from visits of Jewish leaders in Germany after the war, including much information concerning the situation of the Jews living in various places in the country.

    The documentation from the Auswertiges Amt found in the Yad Vashem Archives dates from the establishment of the Second Reich through the end of the Third Reich, 1870-1945.     The Yad Vashem Archives has systematically gathered documentation from the Bundesarchiv, as well as documentation from the Militärarchiv in subsection M.29.Fr.   15. The Testimony Collection gathered by the Central Historic Committee of the Liberated Jews in Munich, 1946-1948

    During the three years of its existence, the Central Historic Committee (CHC) gathered approximately 2,550 testimonies from Holocaust survivors from different countries within occupied Europe. The testimonies deal with the fate of the survivors in various countries during the Nazi occupation.

Sometimes the law is quoted as it was published in the law books of that particular country, and sometimes there are surveys regarding the law or newspaper clippings with a description of the law.B. Correspondence between the World Jewish Congress (including with the United Nations) regarding anti-Jewish legislation such as laws regarding emigration, the status of refugees and displaced persons, reparations from Germany and more.

  18. Righteous Among the Nations Collection.

    The files concern rescuers recognized as Righteous Among the Nations and honoured by Yad Vashem. It is only an indication of the actual number of rescuers, since it is based on the cases brought to the attention of Yad Vashem. Most Righteous were recognised thanks to the requests made by rescued Jews. By January 1st 2014, there were 1665 files of Belgian rescuers. There is a file for every rescue case, containing the documents gathered through the process of recognition. One will find correspondence, notes, sometimes photographs, and material related to the recognition ceremonies.
