Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Częstochowie, Poland, Sygn.15. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in 2014.
Scope and Content
This collection contains files of the Polish Social Welfare Committee (Polski Komitet Opiekuńczy) in Częstochowa during the Nazi occupation, includes mainly records related to social welfare rendered to the poor, orphaned children, refugees, and individuals deported from the USSR during 1939-1940, or who left Warsaw after the suppression of the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. Apart from the above, some file fragments refer to matters of the Jewish community.

The system of arrangement of the source repository has been preserved in digital images. Arranged in three series: 1. Orders and reports, 1940-1942; 2. Records of the orphanage in Częstochowa,1941-1944 (Register of boys); 3. Records of the orphanage in Częstochowa,1941-1945 (Register of girls).
