Acquisition
Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Warszawie Oddział w Grodzisku Mazowieckim, Poland, Sygn. 90. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in 2015.
Scope and Content
Consists of various records of the Municipal Administration of Sochaczew: protocols and personal files of the candidates to the Municipal Council; files of the municipal properties; lists of owners of animals and agricultural property; applications for a job; various statistics; registration books of population of the city Sochaczew and migration control; files of Jewish properties and the Jewish religious community in Sochaczew; records related to taxes and owners of businesses; ordinances and correspondence of the Starost of the City Sochaczew, and correspondence of the Judenrat relating to designation of people for forced labor, 1940.
