Acquisition
The documents originated at the Cabinet du préfet, Administration générale, Sous-préfecture de Belley, and Sous-préfecture de Nantua. Source of acquisition is the Departmental Archives of L'Ain, (Archives départementales de l'Ain), Fond 180W, 1 Z, and 3 Z. and .The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s International Archives Project in December 2007.
Scope and Content
This collection contains general information about “Jewish” affairs, Freemasons, identity documents, and internment. It includes documents specifically on the sub-prefectures of Belley and Nantua, as well as a list of “fugitive” foreigners.
