Acquisition
The materials derive from the Cabinet du préfet, Police des frontières, Renseignements généraux, Sous-préfecture de Saint Julien, and Service du contrôle économique. Source of acquisition is the Departmental Archives of the Haute-Savoie (Archives départemetales). The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archives Programs Division in January 2006.
Scope and Content
Contains material pertaining to anti-Jewish legislation, illegal border crossings, Freemasonry, foreign residency requirements, and humanitarian relief work in and around the Haute-Savoie.
