Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archives Project Division received the collection from the Archives of the British Library in June 2005. The collection was transferred to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives later in June 2005.
Scope and Content
The India Office was the administration in London of the pre-1947 government of India. These files include records relating to immigration and internment policy, individual case files of Jewish refugees to India, and nominal rolls of internees.
