Union géńeralé des Israélites de France created the records from 1941 to 1944. They were transferred to Yivo Institute for Jewish Research in the years following World War II. Processing of the orginal records lasted from 1944 until 1957 and received the YIVO record group number 210. Yivo microfilmed the collection from 1988 to 1990. The Archives purchased a copy of the film in 1996.
