Acquisition
Source of acquisition is the Odesʹkyĭ oblasnyĭ derz︠h︡avnyĭ arkhiv (State Archives of Odessa Oblast). Records created by the Romanian military occupation agencies in Transnistria, Bessarabia, and Bucovina, and held in the Odessa Oblast Archive, where Yad Vashem representatives chose files and documents to be reproduced. A microfilm copies of the materials was received at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1995.
Scope and Content
Contains files from the central administration of Transnistria (Ukraine) dealing with the local Jews and with the Jews deported from Bessarabia, Bukovina and Transnistria, and their fate in the ghettos between the Dniestr and the Bug.
