Acquisition
Source of acquisition is the Instytut Pamięci Narodowej-Komisja Ścigania Zbrodni przeciwko Narodowi Polskiemu (IPN), Sygn. 168. The Sicherheitspolizei and Sicherheitsdienst Radom, Aussenstelle Petrikau created the records from 1940 to 1944. The IPN selected files 45, 46, 47, 48, and 49 for filming for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives in 1995.
Scope and Content
Contains reports, orders, lists, circular letters, leaflets, and various other documents relating to the activities of the Petrikau (Piotrków Trybunalski) branch of the Sicherheitsdienst in Radom, Poland. The records also contain information about sabotage in the Piotrków area; crimes against Volksdeutsche; combatting partisans ("bandits"); Polish anti-German and communist propaganda; and illegal and underground newspapers in circulation in Poland during the war.

Arrangement within files is chiefly chronological. Records are arranged in the original order of their acquisition from the source archive. The museum has acquired only selected records from Institute of National Remembrance (Instytut Pamięci Narodowej-Komisja Ścigania Zbrodni przeciwko Narodowi Polskiemu, or IPN).
