The small archives of music- and literature-related materials collected by Aleksander Kulisiewicz during the years after his liberation was awarded to his son, Krzysztof Kulisiewicz, in 1989. The collection was purchased from Krzysztof Kulisiewicz by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in the fall of 1990. It was received at the Museum by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives on 02 Mar. 1992. All published materials, including record albums and tape recordings, were turned over to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Library at the time of delivery.

Includes biographical information on Aleksander Kulisiewicz in addition to information about his experiences as a political prisoner in Sachsenhausen, Monowitz, and Dora-Mittelbau (a.k.a.Nordhausen). Also included is information about Martin Rosenberg (a.k.a. Rosee D'Arguto) and the mixed choir that he organized with prisoners from barracks 37, 38, and 39 in Sachsenhausen. Interviews are interspersed with Holocaust-related songs in both German and Polish.
