Acquisition
Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
Source of acquisition is the Państwowe Muzeum Oświęcim-Brzezinka, Poland. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archives Project in 1997.
Scope and Content
Contains SS (Schutzstaffel) personnel files, personnel indexes, schedule books, personnel pay books, lists of prisoners, delivery receipts, prisoner death books, and various other documents from Auschwitz and Birkenau concentration camps.
System of Arrangement
The system of arrangement of the source repository has been preserved in the microfilmed reels. Arranged thematically in two series: 1. Identity cards and personnel files of SS officers; 2. Registers of dead.
