Acquisition
Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
Source of acquisition is the Lietuvos centrinis valstybės archyvas (Lithuanian Central State Archives), Fond R- 689/1,3. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Programs Division ordered the filming of the records in 1999. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the microfilm reels in July 2000.
Scope and Content
Contains orders and instructions of the police chief, as well as data on personnel. The documents contain information on Communists, conscripted Jewish labor, crime, deserters, partisans, police battalions, Jewish property, and police behavior.
