Source of acquisition is the Consiliul Național pentru Studierea Arhivelor Securității (Romania).The Consiliul Național pentru Studierea Arhivelor Securității, CNSAS (National Council for the Study of the Securitate Archives) inherited a large part of the files of the Serviciul Român de Informaţii, SRI (Romanian Information Service).The present collection belongs to those files inherited by CNSAS from SRI. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the first part of the collection from the CNSAS via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archival Programs Division in April 2011, the accretions in Aug. 2011, Nov. 2011, Jan. and March 2012, March 2014, May 2016 and May 2018.
