Biografia twórcy

Sulamif Moiseevna Bogoslovskaya was born on December 1, 1906 in Vinnitsa, Ukraine, to parents Moisei Josifovich (or Osipovich) and Sofia Markovna Schwartzman. In 1925, she made her way to Kiev to finish her schooling. In 1928, she enrolled in the Kiev Institute of Professional Education to study biology. While in school, however, she married the writer Dmitri Uran (or Urin). She graduated from the Kiev Institute of Professional Education in 1932. Later that same year she decided to enter the Kiev State Dramatic Studio to study acting. In 1934, while Sulamif was attending the dramatic school, her husband died. She then graduated from the Kiev State Dramatic Studio in 1937. Around this same time, Sulamif married again, this time to Mikhail Sergeevich Bogoslovsky. She continued to act on the Kiev stage until the Second World War began, when she was evacuated to the Urals. She then had a son in 1943. Shortly thereafter, she discovered that her husband, Mikhail, was killed in Manchuria on September 16 1945. In 1946 she decided to return to Kiev, and worked in an office as a secretary. Sulamif died of a heart attack on March 10, 1957.
