Archival History
In previous years All-Ukrainian Jewish Council was issuing the honorary titles "Righteous of Ukraine" or "Righteous of Babyn Iar" to those Gentiles who rescued the Jews in Ukraine during the Holocaust. 662 such titles were awarded by the Council to citizens of Ukraine. To explore each issue the particular documents, including written statements and testimonies from a person rescued and a person who gave aid were collected. Now they shape a separate collection.
Scope and Content
Handwritten and typewritten statements and testimonies from the Jews who were given aid during the Holocaust as well as from the Gentiles who rescued the.
