The collection began to be created in 1997 as a complex of documents of oral history. It exists in form of paper, photo, audio and video documents. Approximately 500 interviews were conducted with former prisoners of Jewish ghettos and concentration camps.

A separate block of documents - lists of former ghetto prisoners and labor camps, lists of burial places of the destruction of the Jewish population verified by the local government, photographs of victims, descriptions of monuments.

There is a complex of documents on issues of popular art in Jewish ghettos and concentration camps (poetry, drawings, lyrics composed of ghettos). Here the memories of those who managed to escape to the Romanian zone are collected, information on negotiations on the resettlement of 70-80 thousands Jews to Palestine from Romania [inventory 1, file 27, pp. 28]. The group of documents contains memories of occupation and life in ghettos: about ghetto in Bar and Lityn [inventory 1, file 1, pp. 4-15], about ghetto in Vinnitsa [inventory 1, file 1, pp. 17-23], about ghetto and concentration camp in Vinnytsa [inventory 1, file 1, pp. 24-31]. The greatest suffering was experienced by the prisoners of the Pechersk camp-ghetto, where only few managed to escape [inventory 1, file 1, pp. 1-3 op. 1, file 1, pp. 32-38].

A separate group of documents is memories of the anti-Nazi underground and partisan movement. There is evidence that underground members prepared for the Jews false documents with indications of their Ukrainian or Russian origin [inventory 1, file 2, pp. 7-34]; memories of the underground in Chechelnitsky district of Vinnitsa region [inventory 1, file 11 pp. 1-6]. There is evidence of Zinaida Mudrik, a former fighter of a separate Jewish partisan company [inventory 1, file 36, pp. 7-16].
