Biografia twórcy
These were district organs of Romanian executive power that functioned from 1941-44 in the occupied territory included in the newly-created Governorate of Transnistria. They were headed by praetors and subordinate to their respective county prefectures ; and in turn held jurisdiction over village and city primarias. The preturas’ functions included, among other things, the organizing of ghettos.

The fonds’ inventories are systematized according to the structural-chronological principle. Documents on “the Jewish question” contained in the pretura fonds may provisionally be divided into the following thematic groups:
- Directives of the Romanian civilian and military authorities that defined the legal status of the Jewish population of Transnistria; these include copies of decrees of Transnistria civilian governor G. Alexianu (4 August 1943) on remuneration of Jewish labor in accordance with rates established for the local population; (3 May 1943) on remuneration of the labor of Jews sent to Transnistria for ninety-day mandatory work shifts.
- Orders of local authorities dealing with the forced labor of the Jewish population,
- Documents on the situation of Jewish doctors and on hygiene and sanitary conditions in which the Jews of Transnistria lived
- Materials on financial aid to the Jews of Transnistria from the Central Office of the Jews of Romania
- Various sorts of lists
- Financial documents, statistical data, and certificates The documents are in Romanian, Russian, and Ukrainian.

Накази, постанови, розпорядження, обіжники цивільного губернатора Трансністрії, префектури, претури про реквізицію у населення худоби, зерна, птиці, вовни, шкір, про стягнення податків, підготовку до проведення польових та зернозбиральних робіт в трудових общинах району, використання на роботах єврейського населення; звіти трудових общин про наявність насіннєвих фондів, стан посівів, урожайність зернових та виноградників, про виконання планів держпоставок; статистичні відомості про наявність коней, великої рогатої худоби, свиней, площі посівів по трудобщинах, листування з жандармським легіоном та префектурою про грабежі та насильства з боку німецько-румунських солдат, про наявність складів з награбованим та трофейним майном, відправлення до Румунії реквізованих худоби та зернопродуктів, відпуск продуктів для румунських військових частин; списки селян - платників податків, подвірні списки жителів сіл району, відомості на видачу зарплати працівникам претури, учителям, робітникам державних ферм, МТС.
