Based on the abovementioned ordinance the military administration was established at the annexed territory was replaced by the civil administration similar to one established at Hungarian territory effective from 22 December 1938. The County consisted of parts of former Tekov and Hont (Bars and Hont) counties and it was temporarily joined county. County´s seat was Levice and it consisted of districts Levice, Szob, Šahy and Vráble. The joined Tekov-Hont County existed until January 1945, or end of 1944 when the Red Army liberated the territory at the left bank of river Hron, which was practically one half of the county. Scope and Content

Documents of the fonds contain a lot of information on the persecution of Jewish population of the county. However, part of the fonds was destroyed during the battles. Files of the County Chairman (including personal files), files of the Deputy Chairman of the County are preserved. Deputy Chairman´s files are however still processed by the archive. There are also documents of the legal attorney in the fonds, but these include only the registers and the index, as well as the financial documents. The last two groups are not inventorized yet. A big group of documents from the files of the County Chairman pertains to the specific applications for the allocation of Jewish real estate property, ordinances and istructions of the Ministry of Agriculture on handling the Jewish property, selection of the applicants, rulings on the expropriation of the agricultural property of Jews, various interventions in this matter. The situation after the adoption of the second anti-Jewish Law is documented by the application ot the Union of businessmen and tradesmen "Baross" from Levice asking the office to prevent the issuing of new licenses to Jews. Some files pertain to financial penalties for Jews for not reporting their stocks of goods or illegal business. Several files pertain to the applications for the exemption. Files from 1942 pertain to Jewish emigration from Slovakia. There are reports of the Chief Constable´s Offices on numerous Jewish emigrants from Slovakia, who were expelled from Vráble or on their police surveillance for the attempts to bribe the border guards or hiding the Jews from Slovakia. There are also some cases of people expelled from certain villages. One file pertains to the exemplary case of persecution of specific person that was expelled from the country for continuous hiding of Jews from Slovakia.
