Biographical History

Pursuant to the decision of the Vienna Award (November 2, 1938) part of southern Slovakia was annexed by the Kingdom of Hungary. The immediate consequence of these changes was the change in the organization of Hungarian public administration. Annexed territory was integrated into the Hungarian public administration pursuant to the Act XXXIV: 1938. This resulted into the incorporation of annexed territory into existing administrative counties as well as into the creation of new ones. The Komárno County with the seat in Komárno (Hungarian: Komárom) was one of the new counties created after the Vienna Award within the Hungarian public administration. Komárno County was one of such counties created after the Vienna Award the Hungarian public administration.
