Acquisition

The basic principles of the Landrat (district councillor) agenda were set by the circular of Reich and Prussian Minister of the Interior on 15 January 1938. The documents on the operation of the office have not been preserved as well as the agenda of the Gendarmerie Department. The base of the fonds consists of archival records of the Economic Department. Until 1957, the documents from the archival fonds were among the documents of the Lanškroun District Office, stored by the Lanškroun District National Committee. The archival fonds was handed over to the State Archives in Nový Studenec in 1957. The archival fonds was arranged in the State Regional Archives in Zámrsk and it was transferred in two stages in years 1992-1994 to the State District Archives in Ústí nad Orlicí.

Scope and Content

The archival fonds include official sources, among others adjustments of the occupation border, personal and organizational matters, trade, registry and financial matters of the municipalities and the district. Two inventory numbers are related to the Jewish history: Aryanization of the Tutsch and Neffe Jamné (Sobkovice) Jewish company and Handling the property of elements inimical to the German Reich, Czech and Jews – general regulations, correspondence.

System of Arrangement

The archival fonds includes auxiliary books, registry finding aids and files from individual departments, ledgers and accounting files.
