      <p><![CDATA[The documents in the collection of the Generalkommandant der uniformierten Protektoratspolizei, Prag are mostly of organisational nature. During the deportation of the Jews in the Bohemian lands to the Theresienstadt Ghetto members of the Uniformed police forces supported Gestapo and SS. The Uniformed police forces also formed a special unit for guarding the prisoners in the Theresienstadt Ghetto. Also the Roma camps Lety u Písku and Hodonín u Kunštátu were guarded by Uniformed Police forces.]]></p>

      <p><![CDATA[Based on the decree of Reinhard Heydrich since 1st of July 1942 the security services in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia were reorganised. Uniformed police forces like the Gendarmerie, the Order Police (Ordnungspolizei/Pořadková policie) and the Municipal police (Stadtpolizei/Městská policie) were reorganised into the "Uniformed Protectorate police" (Uniformierte Protektoratspolizei/Uniformované protektorátní policie), which was subordinated to the Ministry of the Interior under the supervision of the General commander of the Uniformed Protectorate police (Generalkommandant der uniformierten Protektoratspolizei/Generální velitel uniformované protektorátní policie).
