Archivní soubor tvoří torzo písemností Židovské náboženské obce Praha (Židovské rady starších) z období nacistické okupace českých zemí. (ŽNO Praha byla přejmenována na ŽRS ke dni 8. 2. 1943.) Jedná se o archivní materiál vyčleněný v rámci oddělení holocaustu ŽMP po skončení pořádání válečných archivních materiálů počátkem 70. let 20. století.
Zakres i treść
Zachovaná úřední agenda umožňuje seznámit se s administrativním členěním obce, dále obsahuje oběžníky a nařízení, úřední přípisy a nejrůznějšími přehledy a statistiky a korespondenci s venkovskými obcemi. Nejcennější materiál představují zprávy o činnosti ŽNO (ŽRS) a Treuhandstelle. Z činnosti většiny oddělení se dochovaly jen zlomky, mnohdy pouze jednotlivé spisy. Z let 1945–1947 jsou pak zachovány organizační oběžníky Národní správy likvidující činnost ŽRS, oběžníky přípravného výboru ŽNO v Praze a několik dalších dokumentů spojených s počátky obnovené židovské náboženské obce a vznikem Rady židovských náboženských obcí.

This archival collection consists of the torso of documents of the Jewish Religious Community Prague (Judenrat) from the period of the Nazi occupation of the Czech lands. (The JRC was renamed to the Judenrat effective 8 February 1943.) This is the archival material set aside under the JMP Holocaust Department after the organisation of the war archival materials at the beginning of the 1970s.
Zakres i treść
The preserved official agenda makes it possible to become familiar with the administrative breakdown of the community, and also contains circulars and regulations, official memoranda and all manner of summaries and statistics and correspondence with rural communities. The most valuable material is the reports on the activities of the JRC (Judenrat) and Treuhandstelle. Only fragments have been preserved from the activity of most departments, in many cases only individual files. From the years 1945–1947 the organisational circulars of the National Administration dealing with the activity of the Judenrat, the circulars of the preparatory committee of the JRC in Prague and several other documents concerning the renewed Jewish Religious Community and the creation of the Council of Jewish Religious Communities.
